Teachers Needed for an International IB Curriculum School - UAE

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teachers to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school. The teacher is responsible for providing a classroom experience where all students have the opportunity to meet their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. This person is responsible for designing, organizing, implementing, and assessing instructional programming that results in students achieving academic success in accordance with the policies and programs of the school. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement instructional activities that cause all students to be actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences related to the approved curriculum. 

  • Identify, select, use, modify and assess instructional strategies, materials and resources to engage students with varying needs, backgrounds, and learning styles in learning.

  • Assist in assessing the need for changing curricular content needs and designs and offers plans for improving learning and curriculum through collaborative and researched based settings.

  • Maintain effective and efficient student record-keeping procedures and follows the school's grading and recordkeeping policies.

  • Use appropriate professional judgment in maintaining confidentiality in discussions concerning student information.

  • Establish a positive classroom environment that encourages students to be actively engaged in the learning process.

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, colleagues, and other professionals on a routine and regular basis.

  • Collaborate with peers to improve learning for students.

  • Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, administrators, and community members.

  • Ensure that student academic growth is continuous and reflects the learners’ ability, skills, age, subject knowledge, and/or program classification.

  • Participate in professional development training and presentations in their field and programs reflecting school’s philosophy.

  • Meet professional obligations by demonstrating and modelling work habits such as meeting deadlines, honouring schedules, coordinating events, grading student papers, participating in professional development.

  • Implement useful diagnostic and progress assessment measures.

  • Perform certain pastoral duties including, but not limited to, student academic and behavioural support, counselling students with academic and behavioural problems and providing student encouragement.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.

Requirements:

  • You need a teaching license from your home country,

  • You need at least 2 years of teaching experience and;

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Education and relevant subject area
