We are seeking dedicated and passionate System Administrator to sets up and maintains technology systems in our client School in Abu Dhabi.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
1. Engage Platform Management:
- Maintain and update student profiles, including attendance, academic records, gradebook, marksheets, health and medical records, behavior and incident reports.
- Manage teacher and staff profiles, scheduling, and timetabling within the Engage system.
- Oversee the parent portal, providing access to progress reports, communications, alerts, and facilitating parents-teachers conferences.
- Utilize Engage Analytics to generate insights and reports to support decision-making processes within the school.
- Assist in the implementation and management of the Engage Parent App, ensuring smooth functionality and usability.
- Provide technical support to staff on the Engage platform and related systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain the confidentiality of student and staff information Communication and Alerts:
- Manage mail merge functionalities for efficient communication with parents and staff.
- Set up and monitor alerts for important updates and notifications to parents and staff.
2. System Integration and Consistency:
- Ensure all systems are consistently updated with the same student, teacher, and admin information.
- Ensure all systems are upgraded with new releases and models
- Regularly check for and correct any discrepancies or mistakes across all systems.
- Ensure all updates and system changes are approved by the Head of Instructional Technology.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, administrators, outside vendors and service providers, etc.) for the purpose of providing technical assistance, advice and support.
3. Additional Responsibilities:
- Administers Standardized Assessments such as ABT, GL, CAT4, etc.
- Maintains a variety of systems and Enrichment Programs which includes but not limited to Kutubee, Learning A to Z, Little Wandle, TTRS, Twinkle and Alef platform..
- Maintains effective communication with all stakeholders in relation to information systems.
- Responsible for maintaining, and improving operating procedures to improve efficiency and effective use of school resources.
- Develops the necessary tools, processes, and documentation needed to maintain movement towards current strategic goals of the school.
- Research new developments in the field as necessary in order to improve tools and processes.
- Provides systems monitoring to track technology and data across the school.
- Provides performance tuning to ensure high levels of data and system availability.
- Monitor ongoing operations and data integrity and assist with student data audits.
- Support data analysis and accreditation reporting needs.
- Maintain appropriate system documentation on procedures and configurations.
- Ability to solve problems, work independently and comply with deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot common computer software.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical information to technical and non-technical individuals, and to communicate with third party service providers.
- Understand data, data systems, and feel comfortable working with data and teaching others.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of complex technical tasks related to the operation and maintenance of various platforms and systems.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with limited supervision. Multi-tasking capabilities (e.g. handle large volumes of work and prioritize accordingly), while maintaining organization.
4. Health and Safety Compliance
- Full compliance with system standards, policies and procedures, active participation in its implementation during presence in institutions and through the application of business, services and activities
- Complying with institutions’ management guidance pertaining to EHS.
- Care for one’s health and safety as well as for others affected by one’s work, services and activities
- Participate in risk assessment associated with work, services, and activities; and commit to implement all means of control and prevention procedures.
- Utilize available personal protective equipment.
- Participate in EHS awareness, orientation seminars and training sessions.

- Report any incidents or risks that would endanger one’s life or the lives of others or cause environmental pollution.
- Being appropriately familiar with and mindful of the emergency plans and procedures in the workplace; and maintaining active participation and commitment during the evacuation drills/ exercises or emergencies to ensure safety for self and of others.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Technology with more than 5 years of Specialized experience and training in technology related fields.
- Work Experience in Education institution
- Understanding of educational systems and processes
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of application software for Schools.
- Knowledge of Digital Resources Apps for Education sector
- Advanced knowledge of personal computers.
- Working knowledge of database software
- With Good communication skills
Language:
- English: Fluency in written and spoken is mandatory
- Arabic: Fluency in written and spoken is an advantage
