As the Senior Accountant at Gulf Education, you will take on a leadership role overseeing a team responsible for financial operations spanning multiple divisions within our organization. This pivotal position combines your expertise in accounting and finance with strong leadership skills to ensure the fiscal integrity and success of Gulf Education.  

You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of accountants, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Your role extends to financial reporting, analysis, and budget management, where you will work closely with division heads to support their strategic goals and decisions. 

Furthermore, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial controls, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and regulations, and coordinating external audits. Your financial insights and recommendations will be instrumental in identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement possibilities. 
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT professionals, and senior leadership to streamline financial processes and optimize financial management systems.  Your attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to process improvement will contribute to the overall financial health and sustainability of Gulf Education. 
 

Education and Work Experience:

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification preferred. 
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience. 
• Proven experience in overseeing a team of accountants. 
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Financial Oversight: 
Provide leadership in financial management, overseeing a team responsible for the financial operations of Gulf Education across multiple divisions. 

Team Management: 
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants, ensuring their professional growth and development while maintaining a collaborative and productive work environment.

Financial Reporting: 
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and support decision-making for various divisions within Gulf Education. 

Financial Controls: 
Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard Gulf Education's assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. 

Audit Preparation: 
Coordinate and facilitate external audits and ensure timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries. 

Budget Management: 
Work closely with division heads to develop and manage budgets, monitor spending, and provide financial guidance to support their strategic objectives. 

Financial Analysis: 
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and opportunities for revenue enhancement. 

Financial Compliance: 
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards, including tax requirements. 

Process Improvement: 
Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and lead initiatives to streamline financial processes. 

Financial Systems: 
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to maintain and optimize financial management systems and software. 

Reporting to Leadership: 
Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. 

Collaboration:
