Overview:
Manage and oversee that all aspects of the school's non-instructional operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes facilities management, logistics, finance, human resources, and compliance with policies and regulations. The role requires
strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of school administration processes.
1. Facilities Management:
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of school facilities.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades as needed.
- Manage security and ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Handle equipment and supply inventories.
2. Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure the school complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain updated knowledge of education policies and relevant labor laws.
- Oversee the implementation of school safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Ensure data security and privacy compliance (e.g., handling of student records).
3. Logistics and Scheduling:
- Manage student transportation, food services, and other essential support services.
- Organize school events, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Oversee scheduling of extracurricular activities and after-school programs.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
4. Administrative Support:
- Assist the principal and other school leaders in day-to-day operations.
- Prepare reports, memos, and other documents for internal and external communication.
- Manage front office operations, including answering calls and assisting visitors.
- Ensure student records and other administrative data are properly maintained.
5. Human Resources and Staff Support:
- Coordinate staff schedules, attendance, and substitute teachers.
- Manage attendance and timesheets for all school employees.
- Address any personnel issues and maintain staff records.
6. Financial Management:
- Monitor expenses and ensure the school operates within its financial constraints.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payment of vendors.
- Assist with procurement of supplies, services, and equipment.
7. Technology and Systems Management:
- Oversee the use and maintenance of school technology, including computers, projectors, and other instructional tools.
- Ensure the school’s administrative software and systems are functioning effectively.
- Provide technical support or liaise with external IT professionals when necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8-10 yrs experience in school administration
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of school policies, procedures, and regulations.
