Job Description: We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage sourcing activities and build a strong portfolio of suppliers and manufacturers for our unique product range. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective school furniture and supplies to our esteemed clients.
Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and procure high-quality furniture and educational supplies from reliable manufacturers and suppliers.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with our company's standards and financial goals.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry's new trends and advancements.
- Regularly review supplier performance to ensure contractual compliance and manage relationships with key suppliers.
- Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
- Anticipate potential problems and risks and apply effective mitigation methods.
- Prepare and manage contracts with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Forge long-term relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the educational supplies or furniture industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to network and collaborate effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as an aptitude in reading the market.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software, such as SAP MM, Oracle, etc.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle pressure.
- Proficiency in English is a must; knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
