Junior Accountant (Receivable) - Riyadh

Gulf Education is seeking passionate and qualified Accounts Receivable professionals for a leading client, a prestigious British Curriculum School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

We are looking for someone who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming payments, and supporting the school's mission of academic excellence

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to parents/guardians for tuition fees, extracurricular activities, and other school-related charges.

  2. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with delinquent accounts to facilitate timely collections.

  3. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding outstanding balances, payment options, and account inquiries.

  4. Process payments received via various channels, including checks, bank transfers, and online payment portals, and apply them to the appropriate accounts.

  5. Ensure all collections of funds are recorded in the system and reconciled on a daily basis.

  6. Follow up on collection and allocate payments in system.

  7. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as admissions and registration, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of student account information.

  9. Prepare periodic reports on accounts receivable aging, cash flow projections, and collections activities for management review.

  10. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

  11. Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in accounts receivable processes.

  12. Prepare Outstanding Fee Report on monthly basis & communicate parents effectively to collect the fee on time.

  13. Coordinate the have meetings with parents related to fee structure, invoicing and payment.

  14. Manage selling, maintaining inventory and accounting of Uniform.

  15. Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statement on a Monthly basis.

  16. Help Senior Accountant in Audit, VAT and Zakat filings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software like Odoo and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with parents/guardians, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
