Our client, a reputable public school in the UAE, is seeking qualified Speech Therapists to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating students with communication disorders, speech delays, and language difficulties.
The Speech Therapist specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of communication disorders; speech and language impairments; and cognitive-communicative, voice, and swallowing disorders. The therapist must demonstrate the following competencies to be successful in a multilingual environment. The Speech and Language Therapist must be able to assess, identify and prescribe programs of treatment for each of the following speech and language disorders that may affect children in grades PK through 4 in schools
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify communication disorders and speech delays in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders, speech delays, and language difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to treatment.
- Provide therapy sessions and support for students on a regular basis.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, progress, and treatment plans for each student.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in speech therapy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bilingual – Arabic/ English Speakers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
