We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate School Counselor to join our educational institution in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and personal development.

Job Description:

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with students to address academic, personal, and emotional concerns.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions on topics such as conflict resolution, study skills, and career exploration.
• Assist students in setting and achieving academic goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop strategies for academic success.
• Help students explore educational pathways and career options.
• Support high school students in the college application and selection process.
• Provide information about career options, vocational training, and post-secondary education.
• Assist with college admissions testing and scholarship applications.
• Foster a safe and inclusive school environment.
• Address issues related to bullying, peer relationships, and self-esteem.
• Promote character development, ethical behavior, and responsible decision-making.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to address students' needs and concerns.
• Work closely with teachers and school staff to support students' academic and emotional well-being.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and school meetings as needed.
• Provide immediate support and counseling to students in crisis situations.
• Collaborate with school administrators and mental health professionals to ensure student safety.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in School Counseling, Education, or a related field, a Master's degree is preferred.
• State certification or license as a School Counselor.
• 3-5 years of experience working as a School Counselor.
• Strong knowledge of counseling techniques, child and adolescent development, and educational systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Bilingual candidates must provide an Academic IELTS exam score result of 7 or 7.5.
