Hiring Experienced Head of School for a Waldorf Steiner School in Dubai - UAE

Are you an experienced, dynamic and collaborative educator who want to lead a school where there is a major emphasis on the holistic, artistic, and practical skills?

Our client is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of School who will lead their school into the next exciting stage of its development and growth as it opens its new Campus in 2023. It is intended to act as a national and international beacon of excellence benchmarked against the leading world schools. Our client is opening a state-of-the-art non-profit Waldorf Steiner school in Dubai and we are looking for a creative, passionate, and outstanding Head of School. We are looking for exceptionally talented education leaders who through their own evidence and impact of their leadership can demonstrate and ensure that our students achieve outstanding outcomes in their academic and personal/social development.

The successful candidate is expected to provide and lead the strategic direction for the school, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by Waldorf schools.

 

Job Qualifications and Experience Required

  • BA in Education or BA Degree with relevant teaching qualification is essential
  • Master’s in education or similar level qualification essential
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in education
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership position

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic, operational, and financial responsibility for the school
  • Strategic direction and leadership of school improvement
  • Provide inspiring and purposeful leadership for the staff, students, and the wider community
  • To develop a school improvement plan founded in a secure understanding of data and classroom observation
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the school and the quality of teaching and learning
  • Continue to maintain an environment that promotes and secures outstanding teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement and good behavior.
  • Develop and maintain effective links with the community including business and industry, to extend the curriculum and enhance teaching and learning
  • Improve the existing system for the management of staff performance, incorporating target setting and individual development plans
  • Continue to develop an organization in which all staff feel valued and recognize that they are accountable for the success of the school
