We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified PE Teacher to join an international school in Abu Dhabi for SY 2023-2024. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching physical education and be committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle among students.

He shall teach and coach a range of sports and physical activities to students of different ages and abilities, manage class behavior, motivate and encourage all students to take part in sport activities, work along with special needs assistants to help students with special educational needs and disabilities where required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring lessons are planned in accordance with departmental scheme of work;
• Assessing, recording, reporting on progress / accomplishments of students;
• Contributing to a full and extensive extracurricular programme;
• Building, coaching and managing various students’ sport teams; organising/ participating with the build teams in competitions within the school and others.
• Teaching according to students’ educational needs;
• Having a clear vision / focusing on sports development within the school;
• Maintaining discipline in accordance with school procedures;
• Ensuring a high quality, understandable to all ages and different languages speaking students learning environment;
• Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class;
• Meet requirements for the assessment and record of students’ development;
• Provide feedback to parents on a student’s progress at parents’ meetings;
• Work with others to plan and co-ordinate work;
• Collate reports and write a class teacher report for each student at the appropriate time;
• Cover absent colleagues when necessary;
• Undertake other tasks and duties as reasonably requested by the Principal;
• Avoid doing or saying anything that may damage the reputation of the school or its staff;
• Take a daily register of student attendance;
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the students;
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security;
• Maintain positive links with local clubs, schools and organisations;
• Contribute to the school’s promotion; to represent the school and communicate its values to a range of audiences;
• Work alongside colleagues in planning, adjusting and delivering learning activities

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Sports or Physical Education or other relevant field with a teaching qualification. Previous ADEK approval is a plus.
• Native English Speakers are preferred.
• 3 years’ experience, including 3 consecutive years teaching performance exceeds standards and expectations as evidenced by Performance Appraisal’.
• To pass the personal interview; receive positive feedback on Demo class (if applicable).
