Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that copies of IBO publications are available to staff for their respective programs (PYP,MYP,DP);
• Establishes and maintains a record of completed planners;
• Acts as the primary contact for an IB candidate/authorized school with the IB regional office and IB curriculum center;
• Processes appropriate IBO required paperwork including assessments, surveys, etc in consultation with the primary and/or secondary principal;
• Publishes and displays the school’s Program of Inquiry; (PYP);
• Maintains proper course syllabi for courses (MYP, DP);
• Maintains meeting documentation for grade and content articulation meetings;
• Leads the process of implementing and reviewing the Achieve Standards application into the general curriculum, at the request of the Head of Curriculum and Instruction;
• Assures integration of the Achieve Standards into the PYP, MYP, and DP frameworks on an annual basis in conjunction with the Head of Curriculum and Education Quality Auditor;
• Ensures that formative and summative assessments are used in the programs and of are high quality and used to assess student progress against the content standards and course requirements;
• Ensures that the assessment policy for the school is aligned and implemented per the IBO requirements and collects appropriate documentation demonstrating adherence;
• Participates in the formulation and development of the campus and school strategic plan;
• Maintains records of professional development for all staff members in the program;
• Informs staff of professional development opportunities in the appropriate program at least annually;
• Not less than annually distributes the rules for authorized schools to all appropriate staff and reviews these rules with staff members;
• Maintains written documentation and archives, for their respective IB program, for the purposes of candidate status, authorization and reauthorization visits in concert with the Primary and/or Secondary Principal;
• Recommends appropriate instructional and staff development materials to the Head of Curriculum and Instruction for use and review;
• Processes instructional materials requests for school/site IB programs;
• Maintains an inventory of IB materials and their distribution;
• Reviews IB materials for cultural sensitivity;

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Curriculum, Foundations, Assessment/research, or Administration is preferred, 
• IB coordinators training; licensed teacher in their state/country/nation;
• 5 plus years of teaching required; prefer previous IB experience as teacher, coordinator, or head of school
• must be an effective Classroom teacher using Inquiry-based and/or project-based instruction;
• Meet all IB requirements for training for Program Coordinators at the appropriate level,(PYP, MYP, or DP)
