Gulf Education is actively seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our esteemed British School Client in Riyadh, KSA, to lead financial strategy and drive sustainable growth in their commitment to excellence in education!
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing policies and procedures for the finance department and managing all financial activities of the company.
- Presenting financial reports to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
- Leading system implementations and producing dashboards and financial reports through the systems.
- Ensuring compliance with KSA laws and regulations in all financial processes.
- Assisting department heads in developing budgets and framing budgeting guidelines.
- Coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary support for smooth audits.
- Initiating measures to monitor and control costs while ensuring the effectiveness of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Training finance department staff to effectively manage their responsibilities.
- Ensuring all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures to prevent negative financial impacts.
- Verifying that all vendor invoices and employee expense claims are legitimate, supported by original documents, and accurate.
- Identifying gaps in existing processes and recommending measures for re-engineering to enhance effectiveness.
- Ensuring timely payments to external parties to avoid financial complications.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting administration and providing reports and information as required.
- Implementing action points raised by auditors during internal and external audits.
- Reviewing, submitting, and approving costing and budgetary variance reports for effective decision-making.
- Reviewing and approving monthly payroll submitted by Human Resources before fund disbursement.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by the Board.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
- CPA / CA / ACCA / CFA Certified.
- 15+ years of progressive financial experience with the past 5 to 7 years in a very senior finance role.
- Fluency in English Language. Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to function as a strong member of an initiative-taking and integrated management team.
- Ability to build teams, manage and influence people, processes, and customer relationships concurrently.
- Strong Knowledge of Financial management & Management Accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
