A technical school in Al Ain is hiring an Automation Technology Instructor who can provide comprehensive training in Siemens S7 programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to students aged 16-18.
Job Specifications:
- Responsible for planning, managing, and improving the learning of students, working with other team members.
- In collaboration with the team to implement and continually improve curriculum, teaching-learning, and assessment strategies.
- To manage the learning of the students and collaborate with other teachers.
- To manage all facilities and activities related to achieving student learning.
- To play a leadership role in role-modeling behavior, attitudes, and learning behaviors for students.
- To develop and maintain teaching materials and assist with programmed quality assurance processes.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher national diploma in the relevant area.
- Skilled worker with proven practical work experience
- Excellent oral and written English essential. English Language Certificates is an advantage.
- Arabic Language an advantage
Experience Required:
- Practical experience in a relevant area of industrial automation, PLC programming, installation and maintenance
- Minimum 2 years of relevant vocational teaching/training experience.
- Ability to teach some of the following:
- Basic principles of PLC programming
- Basic principles of Electro Pneumatic
- Basic principles Electrical engineering
- Dedicated, reliable team player with good intercultural skills and a sound awareness of gender issues. A good understanding of the cultural background in the UAE
- IT skills, Microsoft office, PLC software such as Siemens S7, other relevant software for Automation Technology
- Practical skills in the relevant area including up-to-date legal requirements and Health & safety regulations.
Preferred:
- Work experience in GCC region or similar location.
