Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Smart Building Technology Teacher to join our team at a leading Technology School in Ras Al Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of smart building systems, including building automation, energy management, IoT (Internet of Things) integration, smart lighting, HVAC systems, and sustainable building technologies. This role involves both theoretical instruction and practical lab work, providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in smart building design, automation, and sustainable architecture. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building technologies and a passion for teaching and innovation in the field of smart buildings.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach the principles of smart building technologies, including automation, energy efficiency, and IoT systems.
- Develop and deliver hands-on practical lessons involving the installation and management of smart building systems.
- Introduce students to technologies such as smart lighting, HVAC systems, and energy management platforms.
- Incorporate real-world smart building solutions, including sustainable design practices and energy conservation methods.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in smart buildings, automation, and sustainable construction technologies.
- Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications in smart building and building automation technologies.
- Assess students’ performance through projects, exams, and practical assignments.
- Foster problem-solving skills and critical thinking through interactive projects and simulations.
- Advise students on career paths in smart building technology, energy management, and sustainable architecture.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate smart building technologies into cross-disciplinary projects.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Smart Building Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching smart building technologies or a related subject.
- Proficiency in building automation systems, IoT integration, and energy management software.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
