The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the principles of fashion design, including garment construction, pattern making, fabric selection, and fashion illustration. This role combines both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing students to pursue careers in fashion design, styling, and the fashion industry as a whole. Key Responsibilities

• Instruct students on the principles of fashion design, including garment construction, pattern drafting, and fabric selection.
• Teach students fashion illustration, sketching, and design software tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Guide students in developing their own collections and preparing portfolios for the fashion industry.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in fashion design, fabrics, and techniques.
• Foster creativity and innovation in student design projects, encouraging original and sustainable designs.
• Assess students' work through design projects, practical assignments, and portfolio reviews.
• Organize fashion events and exhibitions to showcase students' work.
• Advise students on career paths in fashion design, including opportunities in styling, fashion merchandising, and fashion entrepreneurship.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate fashion design concepts with related subjects, such as textiles and fashion marketing.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related field.
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching fashion design or a related subject.
• Proficiency in fashion design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other industry tools.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
