Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Culinary Trainer to join our team at a leading technical school in MBZ, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering culinary training programs that cover essential skills and techniques in cooking, food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety. This role involves teaching students practical cooking skills, providing hands-on training, and ensuring they are prepared to meet the standards of the culinary industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Deliver Culinary Programs: Design and implement training programs focused on cooking techniques, food preparation, kitchen safety, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
- Hands-On Instruction: Provide practical, hands-on culinary training in a fully-equipped kitchen environment, teaching students cooking techniques, presentation, and food safety.
- Mentor and Support Students: Guide students in the development of their culinary skills, offering feedback and support to help them improve and refine their techniques.
- Ensure Safety Standards: Instruct students on food safety, hygiene protocols, and kitchen best practices to ensure a safe and professional kitchen environment.
- Monitor Student Progress: Track the progress of students, provide regular assessments, and offer constructive feedback to ensure students meet culinary industry standards.
- Collaboration with Industry Professionals: Work with other faculty members and industry professionals to ensure that training content remains up-to-date with current culinary trends and industry needs.
- Maintain Kitchen Equipment: Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are well-maintained, functional, and ready for training use.
- Update Course Materials: Regularly review and update training materials to reflect the latest culinary trends, techniques, and food innovations.
- Promote Culinary Excellence: Inspire students to pursue excellence in their craft, encouraging creativity, discipline, and professionalism in all aspects of cooking.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional chef or culinary instructor, preferably in a training environment.
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students in a culinary environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using kitchen management software or Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
