Job Overview
We are looking for a talented Jewelry and Design Teacher to join our team at a leading Technology School in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching jewelry design principles, techniques, and creative processes. This role requires a strong understanding of jewelry design, craftsmanship, and the ability to manage hands-on workshops. Key Responsibilities
- Instruct students on jewelry design, fabrication techniques, and materials used in creating jewelry.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and hands-on activities that encourage creativity and craftsmanship in jewelry making.
- Organize and oversee practical workshops where students create jewelry pieces using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Enforce safety procedures and teach students how to work safely with tools, materials, and equipment in the jewelry design process.
- Assess student work and provide feedback on design quality, technique, and overall creativity.
- Ensure that jewelry-making tools, equipment, and workshop areas are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Integrate new trends, technologies, and materials into the jewelry design curriculum.
- Work alongside other educators to integrate jewelry design into broader design and technology programs.
- Advise students on career opportunities in jewelry design, including paths into the jewelry industry or higher education.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching jewelry design or a related subject.
- Fluency in English.
