Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Islamic Studies Teacher to join our team at a prestigious American IB School in Sharjah. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of Islamic principles, values, and history within the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The school is located in a vibrant, well-connected part of Sharjah and offers a nurturing environment for both students and staff.

Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging Islamic Studies lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
• Foster students' moral and ethical development in accordance with Islamic teachings.
• Encourage critical thinking and reflection on religious and historical topics.
• Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress and performance.
• Promote respect, tolerance, and a deep understanding of Islamic values.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school leadership.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development programs.

Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies.
• Strong knowledge of IB curriculum standards and assessment methods.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (preferred).
• Experience with IB MYP and DP curriculum is an advantage.
