Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our esteemed American IB School in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team, delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) and promoting inclusivity in the classroom, in line with the school’s ethos and the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. Curriculum Information

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education.
- PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching students with special educational needs in a diverse classroom.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
Desired Attributes
- Strong understanding of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges.
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and modify classroom activities to suit individual needs.
- Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with parents, staff, and external professionals to support student development.
- Prior experience working within the International Baccalaureate (IB) or a similar curriculum is preferred.
