Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Chemistry Teacher (IBDP) to join our prestigious American IB School in Sharjah. The successful candidate will teach Chemistry at the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level, guiding students through the core concepts and advanced topics of chemistry. Curriculum Information
Our school follows an American curriculum integrated with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. The IBDP Chemistry curriculum is comprehensive, covering essential topics such as atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and organic chemistry. The teacher will emphasize a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to learning, encouraging students to conduct experiments, apply scientific concepts, and think critically. Assessment will include internal and external exams, lab reports, and individual investigations.
Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field (aligned with SPEA requirements).
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license.
• At least 5 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the IBDP level or within an international curriculum.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong understanding of the IBDP Chemistry curriculum, including assessment practices.
