Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Math Teacher (MYP) to join our prestigious American IB School in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for mathematics and extensive experience in teaching the Middle Years Programme (MYP) curriculum. This role requires delivering high-quality, inquiry-based maths instruction that helps students develop a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, along with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all within the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP.

Curriculum Information
Our school follows an American curriculum enhanced with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. The MYP mathematics curriculum emphasizes inquiry-based learning and the development of critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Students explore key mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability. Teachers are encouraged to integrate technology into lessons and promote collaborative learning to help students make real-world connections with mathematics.

Qualifications Required
• Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Mathematics, or a related field.
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license.
• At least 5 years of experience teaching mathematics at the MYP level or within an international curriculum.
• At least 2 years of experience specifically within the IB MYP framework is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies for secondary school students.
