Job Description
The Art Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering art lessons to students at various grade levels. The teacher will foster creativity and artistic skills, while encouraging self-expression, critical thinking, and an appreciation for art across cultures and history.
Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Develop and implement engaging art lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum standards.
- Teach various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
- Introduce students to art history and different artistic movements, encouraging creativity and exploration.

Student Engagement and Support:
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for students.
- Provide guidance to students in their artistic endeavors, helping them to express their ideas and emotions through art.
- Assess and evaluate student performance, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Classroom Management:
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe environment for students while working with potentially hazardous materials.
- Maintain organization of art supplies, tools, and materials.
- Enforce classroom policies and routines, ensuring students follow safety procedures while working.

Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess students’ work, providing meaningful feedback that encourages improvement and development.
- Keep accurate records of students’ progress, grades, and attendance.
- Prepare and display student artwork for exhibitions, school events, or competitions.

Extracurricular Activities:
- Organize and lead art exhibitions, workshops, or art-related extracurricular activities.
- Encourage student participation in school art competitions or community art projects.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into other subjects.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching art in a classroom setting is required.
- IELTS 7.5
